A former occasional teacher with the Bluewater District School Board is facing numerous charges relating to allegations of sexual misconduct.
City Police say 35-year-old Mark Bowers from Owen Sound was arrested on Nov. 21 in connection to historical allegations of sexual assault involving a minor while he was employed by the school board.
Bowers is charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation and uttering threats.
The allegations against Bowers have not been proven in court.
Bayshore Broadcasting News reached out to the Bluewater District School Board to ask what time frame the accused was an employee, and what schools he worked in.
A spokesperson for the Bluewater District School Board says: "We are not in a position to provide further personnel details aside from what has been shared, or to comment when a police investigation is underway. The individual is no longer an employee, and staff are fully cooperating with the police in their investigation."
Owen Sound Police say they would like to speak with anyone who may have further information regarding the allegations or anyone who may be a victim.
