The Township of Chatsworth & District Minor Hockey Peewee C team are inviting the community to join them at Boston Pizza in Owen Sound on December 16th for a charity fundraiser.

From 5pm-8pm members of the team will serve guests with 10% from every meal being donated to the Wiarton Salvation Army.

This is all part of the Rebels push to win the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup which donates $100,000 towards a charity of the winning teams choice.

In this case the Rebels are supporting the Wiarton Salvation Army who suffered significant financial loss after a break in back in late October.

Assistant Coach Mike Murray spoke of this choice of charity.

"We just felt that it had one of the biggest local impacts and with the recent break in they had," Murray explains "the girls felt that it needed the most help at the moment."

At the time Wiarton Salvation Army Captain Mary Millar stated the cost of the building damage and stolen goods was around $13,000.

The event on December 16th will see members of the Peewee C team serving customers with door prizes being awarded and non-perishable food donations being accepted.

You can reserve a table for the event by calling 519-370-2003.
