As talks surrounding possible alternative locations for Huron County's new administrative headquarters continue, a new idea is surfacing.
Chief Administrative Officer Meighan Wark tells Country 104.9 News that the facility review committee has suggested putting Social Services staff in several offices across the County.
Wark says an action plan is being prepared, with the vision of having County Social Services based at municipal offices.
She adds that decentralized Social Services is being given serious attention, and that the location of the headquarters building will be discussed later.
Earlier this year, several Councillors floated the idea of possibly locating the County administration complex in the Clinton area or Blyth.
Those are in addition to the originally proposed site for $41 million structure, on the former Victoria Public School property in Goderich.
