The final round of Orillia’s 2019 downtown community Improvement plan grants to recipients is coming next week

It’s happening Monday at 10 am at Orillia’s Economic Development office at 50 Andrew Street.

That's when the grant panel will award five grants totalling $77,500 as part of the third 2019 intake of the program.

Now in its third year, it includes financial incentives designed to stimulate development in the City’s core.

Grants awarded during this intake include ones for feasibility and design study grants, façade improvements, building improvements as well as a residential grant that will encourage more people to live and work in the downtown core.

Orillia Mayor Steve Clarke will be on hand for the announcement.

We’ll bring you all the details on Monday.
