A GoFundMe page has been set up for the Kincardine family involved in a serious collision on Highway 9 near Walkerton on November 12th.

47 year old Dennis Turqueza and his 17 year old daughter Denise Angelique were driving in bad weather when their car lost traction, skidding on the highway and colliding with an oncoming SUV.

Both father and daughter were hospitalized in London. 17 year old Denise died from her injuries on Saturday, November 16th.

Dennis remains in the ICU of Victoria Hospital in London with life-threatening injuries.

The GoFundMe page set up for the family says Dennis migrated to Kincardine from the Philippines. He lived and worked here for two years before his wife Phoebe and three kids were able to join him.

Denise Angelique is described on the GoFundMe page as the eldest child and, "A very selfless and caring daughter," who, the page goes on to say, that at the time of her death; her organs were donated "So others may live a better life."

Page organizers say money raised will go directly to Denise Angelique’s funeral and Dennis' medical costs and related travel expenses for Phoebe and her two young sons.

As of 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 19th, $21,985  was donated by 262 donors. The goal listed on the page is to raise $25,000 for the Turquezas.

Police say the other driver involved in the collision sustained minor injuries.
