Outdoor ice pads are returning to the Town of Goderich for a fifth year.
Councillor Trevor Bazinet says the boards for the dual ice pads have been constructed at the town's Victoria Park.
He tells Country 104.9 News the last things needed to complete the rinks are tarps for beneath the ice surface, and sub-zero temperatures.
For those using the free outdoor rinks this winter, Bazinet asks that you use shovels provided by organizers to clear any snow from the ice surface before leaving.
Bazinet hopes to have the outdoor ice rinks open by Christmas, weather permitting.
Updates on the status of Goderich's outdoor rinks can be found on Facebook.
