Goderich CAO Search Expected To Take Several Weeks

Goderch | by Peter Jackson

Outside help has been brought in to help recruit Larry McCabe's successor

The search for Goderich's new Chief Administrative Officer is expected to take several more weeks, and the town is accepting outside help with recruiting.

Mayor John Grace says the CAO of Elgin County has been brought in to assist with the search.

He points out that because several members of Town staff wanted to apply for the top non-elected municipal position, enlisting external help was the fair thing to do.

Grace says he expects the search to take the rest of this month.

He hopes a new CAO can be hired by mid-December.

It was announced in October Larry McCabe and the Town of Goderich parted ways.
