SuperSpiel in Saugeen Shores

Both Port Elgin and Southampton Curling Arenas will play host

Curlers have descended upon Saugeen Shore to take part in the Port Elgin Curling Club's 38th Annual SuperSpiel.

The three day Bonspiel will be played on both Port Elgin and Southampton ice with the championships getting underway this Sunday (Nov 17) at 3pm at the Port Elgin location. 

Curler Ross Lamont says its going to be a great weekend of curling.

"This year we've added a senior divisions, so we have 10 teams competing in that division and about 20 teams in the open," says Lamont.

Lamont says the public is able to watch from bleachers added to the Port Elgin Curling Club.

"We have ten of the top 20 teams in the Ontario Curling Tour that are going to be here as well as three teams from the US including Todd Birr who was a former Olympian and US Champion," adds Lamont.

Standings will be shown and updated on the Ontario Curling Tour website.
