An overnight winter shelter for homeless residents will be returning to Huron County for a fourth year.
The "Huron Out of the Cold" program begins 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Goderich's Salvation Army Suncoast Citadel.
Shelter Program Coordinator Marcel McIntyre says "Out of the Cold" is looking for support in the form of grocery store gift cards.
McIntyre tells County 104.9 News guests of the shelter will also be provided with vouchers for clothing at the Salvation Army's thrift shop, so clothing donations are also welcomed.
Last month, Huron County council studied the costs to transport the area's homeless to the winter-time shelter in Goderich.
A high-end estimate pegs the cost at approximately $188 thousand.
Huron Out of the Cold runs between November 16th, 2019 to April 15th, 2020, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m..
