What Mayor John Grace calls an "open and candid" session is expected, as Goderich Council gathers in Benmiller for a strategic planning session Friday and Saturday.
This is the first such meeting Goderich Council has ever held, as they look forward through the next three years.
The meeting at Benmiller Inn is open to the public, though the Mayor cautions some discussions may be held behind closed doors, depending on their nature.
Grace says the meeting will only be the first part of a process that could last for several months.
He points to a further discussion at an upcoming Council meeting, and a chance for the public to offer their input and ideas.
Grace believes the final plan adopted by Council in the New Year will be a helpful guide, especially for capital project and spending proposals.
The strategic planning session will be held at the Benmiller Inn all day today and tomorrow.
