Local Restaurant to be Declared Heritage Property

Rosemont | by Phil DeLand

The Globe Restaurant in Rosemont, built around 1870, is being designated as a heritage property.

A Rosemont restaurant has been designated a heritage property.

Mono Town Council accepted the recommendation of the Heritage Advisory Committee to designate the Globe Restaurant as a heritage property.

Officials say the Globe is a good example of a wood framed Georgian style building which was built around 1870.

It's one of only a few remaining buildings in Mono that was once used as a rural inn and adds character to the town of Rosemont.
