Grey County Paramedics Receive Medals for Service

This medal is given to paramedics that have served for 20 years.

Three Grey County paramedics have been honoured with the Exemplary Service Medal.

This medal is given to paramedics that have served for 20 years.  

According to a press release from the Grey County Paramedic Services, the three individuals honoured are paramedic Heather Fortney-Wilson, Shawn Klages and Rob Gibbs.

Fortney-Wilson works at the paramedic base in Hanover. Klages is a supervisor who works all over Grey County. Gibbs works out the Owen Sound area.

Fortney-Wilson and Gibbs were presented their award by Honourary Lieutenant-General Richard Rohmer.

In a statement, Grey County Warden Selwyn Hicks states these paramedics' "devotion to care helps make our communities safer places to live, do business and raise families.”
