Halloween Haunt in Downtown Owen Sound

Owen Sound | by Bayshore News Staff

Downtown merchants offer family activities today.

Downtown Owen Sound is going to have some extra splashes of orange and black this weekend for Halloween.

The annual Halloween Haunt is being put on from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday by downtown merchants. Black and orange balloons will be placed outside of participating stores. Families are encouraged to wear costumes for the event and explore participating merchants' shops -- which will feature activities and hand out candy to trick-or-treating kids.

If you notice a teal balloon outside a store, that marks a location where allergy friendly treats will be available.

2nd Avenue East will be closed between 7th and 10th Streets for the Halloween Haunt.

Family-focused entertainment is planned as well including Klash the Clown, Sandcastle Theatre and the stilt walkers and hoola hoopers of the Collingwood Circus Club.
