Southampton Hospital Looking for Patient Stories

Saugeen Shores | by Megan Johnson

Stories should be under 250 words and will be featured during the Light the Way Radio-thon

In hopes to make the Light the Way Radio-thon (December 12) another success, the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) is asking for your hospital stories; which could air during the annual fundraising event.

Foundation Director Tracy Murray says there is a contest  for anyone who sends in their stories, and one might find themselves winning an electronic device.

"We're looking for any kind of story; it could be a happy story, a silly story, a sad story, just any kind of story that involves you or your loved one... and how our Hospital helped care for you or helped make your experience a positive one."

The stories should be 250 words or less; if chosen you could record your story at 98 the Beach which will be broadcasted over air-waves during Light the Way day.

"We will have stories on our website and they may appear on our social media... and of course they will be played on 98 the Beach during the Radio-thon"

Story submission can be sent to by October 25, or brought into the Foundation office located inside the Hospital.

Light the Way is the largest fundraiser for the SMHF.
