Bluevale Woman Named 2020 Agricultural Scholar

44 year old Amy Cronin wins $15,000 scholarship for risk management strategies on farm businesses.

A Bluevale woman is one of four recipients of a nationwide farm scholarship.

Amy Cronin is among the 2020 Nuffield Canada Scholars to pick up $15 thousand for rural leadership.

Cronin and her husband, Mike, farm in Ontario, Iowa, and Missouri as hog and cash crop producers.

According to Nuffield, Cronin "works in many capacities, being active in agriculture and food at the local, provincial and national levels."

"She plans to take a comprehensive look at the risk management strategies implemented by successful farm businesses, agricultural industries and governments around the world."

Cronin's scholarship is sponsored by the Grain Farmers of Ontario.
