The South Huron District High School student group Eco Exeter will continue to campaign for a sustainable local environment this school year.

Eco Exeter was launched during the last school year by Grade 9 science students at SHDHS, and draws inspiration from the efforts of the group Blue Bayfield.

Already, the student group has presented its campaign to Huron County and South Huron municipal Councils, and distributed stainless steel straws and reusable produce bags in the community.

To help kick-start their second year, Eco Exeter is holding a day of learning at SHDHS, which is open to all Grade 9 science students in the Avon-Maitland District School Board.

The day of learning is set for Thursday, September 12th, starting at 9:30am.
