Regional | by Matt Sitler

Money raised that evening goes back to helping the CNIB Lake Joe Camp extend its programs throughout the winter

The CNIB Taste of Country event happens this Saturday for a great cause.

Internationally Acclaimed Juno Award Nominee Beverley Mahood, who will be performing at this year’s event, tells Country 102 that there will be a charity auction amongst a host of other exciting activities.

The evening is being emceed by Joan Kelley Walker of Real Housewives of Toronto.

Mahood will appear alongside other artists including Leah Daniels and John Anderson.

Mahood says all money raised that evening goes back to helping the CNIB Lake Joe Camp extend its programs throughout the winter just like in the summer.

Great entertainment, whiskey, scotch tastings and a  mechanical bull, alongside fireworks capping off the evening following a full dinner, will make for a busy night.

You can buy tickets at CNIB.ca

This year’s fundraising goal is $500,000

More from Mahood on why the evening is so special…(above audio)

Tickets cost $120 each. You can also buy a 10 group ticket discount package for $1,100.

The CNIB Taste of Country event happens this Saturday, August 24th at the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre.
