A group promoting connection with nature will be in Grand Bend for a shoreline cleanup.
Project Snorkel Team Lead Curtis Onaczyszyn says volunteers are invited to Saturday's beach cleanup along the town's north beach.
Onaczyszyn says a recent beach cleanup in Saugeen Shores turned up 20 pounds of garbage.
The most common items found were cigarette butts, and microplastics.
For Saturday's cleanup, Onaczyszyn recommends bringing a reusable water bottle, and gloves, with plastic bags to be provided.
The cleanup runs Saturday, August 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Grand Bend.
