Time to ring your bell in Saugeen Shores.

Today marks Bicycle Bell 101 and the Town of Saugeen Shores and Saugeen Shores Police Services  will be participating in a pop-up bike bell booth along the North Shore Trail today (August 2).

Bikers can receive free bike bells and free t-shirts for interested children.

The Town and Police Service are partnering for the month to preach bicycle safety.

Next Friday the team will focus on the One-metre Passing Law.

Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau says, "part of being a bicycle-friendly community means that each of us has a role to play in ensuring everyone's safety on our roads and trails."

Other Fridays will focus on Sharing the Road, Sharing the Trail system and will conclude August 30th with general safety tips.
