Kyle Seeback Wins Dufferin Caledon Conservative Nomination

Dufferin-Caledon | by Jill Young

Seeback, a former MP for Brampton West, beat Gurminder Gill, Barb Shaughnessy and Jeremy Williams.

Kyle Seeback will represent Dufferin-Caledon for the Conservatives in the federal election this fall.

The Dufferin-Caledon Nomination meeting was held last night at the Orangeville Agricultural Society Event Centre.

Seeback beat out Gurminder Gill, Barb Shaughnessy, and Jeremy Williams for a chance to replace David Tilson, who is retiring.

He is a former member of parliament, having represented Brampton West after being elected in 2011.

This was the second meeting they held, the first candidate chosen Harzadan Singh Khattra was removed over concerns about membership buying and improper voting to get him in.

There are no official attendance numbers, but it appears the voter turnout was less than the first nomination meeting.

Seeback says if he is elected this fall that will work harder to serve them, and that he will be their true representative in Ottawa.
