Fifties First Friday In Owen Sound

This Friday, the 1950s will be back in downtown Owen Sound.

Downtown Owen Sound is taking a trip down memory lane.

People are encouraged to put on their 1950s garb and head downtown to Fifties First Friday.

On Friday August 2nd, from 6 to 9 p.m. Stores and restaurants will have deals throughout the downtown.

There will be a classic car show along Second Avenue East from 8th Street to 11th Street.

Entertainment will include a Barbershop Quartet, Rythmix and the Encore Men's Barbershop Chorus.

Organizers say the Highland Dames Roller Derby Team will be there passing out Coca Cola's new craft sodas.

People are encouraged to dress in their 50's best.

This is a rain or shine event and admission is free.
