15th Annual Sights and Sounds Festival in Hanover

Lots of festivities planned on Saturday and Sunday.

Hanover’s biggest block party is back -- the Town is celebrating it 15th annual Sights and Sounds Festival this weekend.

Sights and Sounds Coordinator Kendra Mantler says there is something for the entire family.

The fun kicks off this morning with an Art Show and Sale, the Farmer’s Market as well as the newest attraction, Helicopter Rides.

At 10 am the Kidz Talent Contest begins followed by a Pup Parade.

At 11 am Heritage Square will begin to bustle with the ever popular Kidz Zone, and new this year the Axe Throwing tournament.

For the adults the Keg and Cork Craft Beverage Festival will kick off at noon.

Followed by the Dunk Tank featuring local celebrities including the Warden, the Police Chief and the Town’s CAO.

At 2 pm the Crusin’ to Sights $ Sounds Care and Motorcycle Show takes place along Hanover’s main street followed by the Kids Soap Box Derby at 3:30.

For the young at heart a Magic Show will be held in Heritage Square at 4:30Mantler says after all of this, you can put on your dancing shoes this evening and attend the ever popular Street Dance.

The Sights and Sounds Festival is Hanover=92s biggest event of the year, and it is expected to draw crowds of up to 7 thousand people this weekend.

The event wraps up tomorrow (Sunday) with a Rib Cook Off in Heritage Square and Caesar Sunday.
