Three days of events kick-off in Southampton tonight (July 26) to celebrate the 9th annual Marine Heritage Festival (July 26-28).
Tonight begins with free admission (6-9 p.m.) to the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre says Stephanie Crilly.
"Most of the exhibits are open, we've got interpreters within the Museum, so it's a super fun night to come out and visit."
Following the Museum event which includes a cash bar and live-music, a Ghost Walk will be taking place at dusk under the Big Flag, admission is by donation.
The annual Bruce Telecom Cardboard Boat Race as well as the Chi-Cheemaun Big Canoe Challenge begins in the late morning (Saturday, July 27) with cardboard registrations starting at 9 a.m., at Pioneer Park.
The festival boast a day of family entertainment and lots of activities for children from a scavenger hunt to beach activities and games.
On Sunday, cycling enthusiasts can take part or take in the War on the Shore - Bike Race to top off the busy weekend in Southampton.
