HMCS Oriole to stop in Canada's Prettiest Town for weekend tours.

A historic vessel of the Royal Canadian Navy is making a weekend stop in Canada's Prettiest Town.

The HMCS Oriole, first launched in 1921, will be hosting tours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Goderich Harbour.

The vessel first served as the flagship of the Canadian Yacht Club in Toronto, before being sold to the Toronto Branch of the Navy League of Canada in 1941.

It was commissioned by the Royal Canadian Navy in 1952, and is now kept in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The HMCS Oriole is currently on a three-month deployment on the Great Lakes.

Tours will be provided Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday tours will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., before the ship departs the Goderich Harbour Monday.
