Driver In Atwood Charged For Child Sitting On Beer Case

Atwood | by Peter Jackson

OPP say they made the discovery during a traffic stop in the village

OPP are reminding parents of young children to have their kids under eight years old secured in a booster seat, when travelling in a vehicle.

This, after a traffic stop in Atwood revealed a two year-old child passenger in a car was seated on a 30-can case of beer, instead of a child booster seat.

Perth OPP brought a booster seat to the location, and notified Family and Childrens' Services.

The 22 year-old driver from Wellington North is charged with failure to properly secure a child passenger, and has been issued a provincial offence notice.
