With an increase in the volume of traffic expected, the new traffic management plan will help to decrease congestion...

The 57th annual Muskoka Arts and Crafts Summer Show happens at Annie Williams Memorial Park this weekend (July 19 - 21) and the Town is taking a new traffic control direction.

With an increase in the volume of traffic expected, the new traffic management plan will help to decrease congestion on Wellington Street, Santa’s Village Road and the surrounding area.

Beginning at 10 am Friday, and running until 6 pm daily, Santa’s Village Road will be closed from Spencer Street to Wellington Street.

Vehicles going to the show or elsewhere on Santa’s Village Road will be directed to the intersection of Dill Street and Wellington Street.

Vehicles will be directed west on Dill Street, south on Ewing Street, then to Santa’s Village Road.

When leaving the show or the Santa’s Village Road area, vehicles will be diverted north on Spencer Street and east on Dill Street to the intersection at Wellington Street.

Please be advised that there will be no parking on either side of Ewing Street or Spencer Street.

In addition, Muskoka Arts and Crafts has confirmed additional parking at the Pentecostal Church, Georgian College, the Rotary Centre and Dewey Institute.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to exercise caution and patience when travelling in this area over the weekend.
