West Grey Police have charged an Owen Sound woman with stunt driving.
According to police, at about 2:30 in the afternoon on Sunday, June 30th, an officer saw a vehicle being driven northbound at a high speed on Grey Road 3.
Police say they confirmed their observation with the use of radar and locked in on the suspect vehicle at 133 kilometres per hour in a posted 80 zone.
They say they intercepted the vehicle and charged the driver with stunt driving (50 kilometres or more over the speed limit).
Police seized the woman's licence and impounded her vehicle for a week.
The 59 year old Owen Sound woman is set to appear at the Walkerton Courthouse on July 23rd, to answer to the charge.
Meanwhile, West Grey police say over the Canada Day long weekend, they checked 733 vehicles in eight ride programs.
No alcohol or drug charges were laid.
They say a total of 37 charges were laid including 25 speed related charges.
