A big fundraiser for Headwaters Health Care Foundation is coming up in the fall and they're honouring the efforts of their volunteers.
This year will be the 5th Annual Tour de Headwaters Cycling Event.
They thanked the volunteers from the Orangeville Lions' Club for marshalling in an event that requires about 250 volunteers each year to keep the cyclists on the route.
Chair of the Headwaters Health Care Foundation Tim Peters says the Lions Club has put about 55 people on their cycling route, who volunteer several hours the day of to give the cyclists directions.
This year there will be a new 135 km route added and back in 2019 is the Family 25 km Trail Ride.
The money raised goes to support priority equipment needed for the hospital in Orangeville.
Over 200,000 dollars has been raised over four years.
The ride takes place in Inglewood on September 14th from 7 am to 2 pm.
