Board of Governor Chair Lorna Eadie Hocking is pleased to remain at the helm for another year.

For Eadie Hocking, the year ahead is filled with challenges, change and excitement.

Eadie Hocking notes that change has been a common theme within the Hanover and District Hospital Senior Administrative team with the recent additions of a new President, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Patient Care Manager. (following a number of retirements)

She calls it exciting times, saying the Hospital has youth on its side, saying the new Senior Administrative Team is energetic and eager and she is confident they will do a great job.

As for her term ahead as Chair, Eadie Hocking says it is interesting times in deed as the Hospital moves forward into un-chartered waters with the new Ontario Health Team models.

She says while she is not yet sure of the direction or composition of these Teams, she calls it exciting as ‘Patient Focus’ is the driving force behind this new initiative.

Hocking says the Board of Governors is fortunate to have such a strong Senior Administrative Team to work with in the year ahead.

She adds, she is grateful to have such a great Board of Governors as well.

There are currently three vacancy positions on this skilled based board.

Eadie Hocking encourages those who are eligible and feel they have something to contribute to fill out an application and submit it with a resume to the Hanover and District Hospital for consideration.

As for the Board of Governors, Eadie Hocking was acclaimed as Chair (second year) and Tina Shier and Corwin Leifso were acclaimed as Co-Vice Chair, while Tim Kraemer was acclaimed as Treasurer.
