Roast beef, baked potato, coleslaw, dinner roles, and ice cream will be served at Sunday's barbecue in Lions Harbour Park.

You can get some barbecue ahead of Canada Day celebrations in Goderich.

The town's Lions Club is hosting a barbecue Sunday, ahead of the fireworks display.

Lions Club member Jim Melick says volunteers begin preparing the food in the morning, in time for the hungry afternoon crowd.

The club will serve hot roast beef, baked potato, coleslaw, dinner roles, and ice cream.

The barbecue runs from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Lion's Harbour Park.

Advanced tickets can be purchased at Goderich's Winemaker Shop, Fincher's, Goderich Tourism Bureau, or from any Lion's Club member.

The town's fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. along the shoreline, with a rain date of July 1st.
