The Liberal Party is set to select its federal candidate for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound tonight.

Meghan Lipka, Rod Anderson and Michael Den Tandt are vying to be the Liberal nominee for the riding. All three will make speeches at the party's nomination meeting in Owen Sound beginning at 7 p.m. at the Bayshore Community Centre.

A spokesperson for the local riding association says the voting period will be open until 9:30 p.m. for party members registered as of May 14.

The Liberals are the last major party to name a federal candidate in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound for October's Canadian general election.

Alex Ruff is running for the Conservatives, Chris Stephen for the New Democrats, Danielle Valiquette is the Green Party candidate and Bill Townsend is the People's Party nominee.
