Owen Sound police say they have postponed their Torch Run, due to today's rainy forecast.
It was set to go Monday June 10th, but will be held Tuesday, June 11th at Owen Sound District Secondary School at 9:30 a.m. instead.
The Torch Run promotes acceptance and inclusion for Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities.
As part of the torch run, police and Special Olympics athletes carry the "Flame of Hope" into Special Olympics competitions locally, provincially, nationally and at the World Games.
Unfortunately due to the bad weather predicted for Monday the Track Meet and Torch Run #OwenSound have been postponed until Tuesday...see you Tuesday June 11 !!!— OwenSoundPolice (@OwenSoundPolice) June 10, 2019
