Owen Sound Police have charged a 38-year-old man allegedly responsible for a string of thefts.
City police say the man was brought into custody after being identified as a suspect in recent thefts at car washes, a laundromat and an apartment building common area.
Police say the accused made two failed attempts to steal money from vending machines and caused signifcant damage to them, before making off with a piece of car wash equipment.
Officers say the man was taken into custody yesterday after allegedly stealing a television and DVD player with an accomplice from the entertainment suite of an east side apartment complex.
The 38-year-old Owen Sound man is charged with possession of break and enter tools, theft, possession of property obtained by crime, wearing a disguise with intent and mischief to property.
No word from police if the accomplice has been apprehended.
