Eight charges have been laid against a 28 year-old Central Huron man, following an alleged confrontation with an OPP officer in Clinton.
Police say an officer recently had to wake up a driver found sleeping in a pick-up truck, that was parked in an Albert Street lot.
OPP say the vehicle had been earlier reported stolen from a location in Orillia then repainted, and the vehicle identification number had been tampered with.
They say just before the suspect was arrested, he released a quantity of fentanyl into the air with some of the substance landing on the officer and cruiser.
Obstruct police, drug impaired driving, possession of fentanyl, and possession of stolen property over $5,000 are among the offences the suspect will answer to in Goderich Court on June 17th.
