Huron County | by Fadi Didi

Goderich, Exeter, Clinton, Wingham, Grand Bend to host walks in biggest fundraiser for Alzheimers research.

The Walk For Alzheimers is returning to Huron County -- with walks taking place in various towns along Ontario's West Coast.

Community Outreach and Events Coordinator for the Alzheimers Society of Huron County, Erin Dale, says walks will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in various towns.

Locations of walks include Goderich, Exeter, Clinton, Wingham, and Grand Bend.

The Walk for Alzheimers is the largest national fundraiser for research into Alzheimers disease and dementia.

The money raised at the Huron County walk locations stays in Huron County to support programs and services that improve quality of life for people living with dementia, and their families.

Dale says over 12-hundred people are affected by Alzheimers and dementia.
