Ticket paid, driver's licence still suspended.

Wasaga Beach | by Ian MacLennan

A Wasaga Beach man says his driver's licence was suspended for a ticket he paid more than 30 years ago.

Ralph Corrente of Wasaga Beach says a ticket he received in 1985 for an improper lane change was paid more than 30 years ago.

Imagine his surprise, when he received a  letter in the mail from the Ministry of Transportation telling him his driver's licence hasd been suspended for non payment of the ticket.

Corrente tells CTV his name on the ticket is spelled wrong.

He paid the fine at the Barrie courthouse on Thursday but says he will appeal it on principle.
