Racing Charge Laid In Central Huron

OPP say the novice driver is off the road for a week

A South Huron teen is finding alternative ways of getting around for the next few days, after a vehicle was stopped near Clinton under the province's street racing legislation.

Investigators say they pulled a vehicle over on Highway 8 last Wednesday, when radar showed it was travelling at 130 kilometres per hour is a posted 80 zone.

The 17 year-old novice driver has lost his licence and vehicle for a week, and will answer the charge in Goderich Court on June 4th.
