Eight Huron County students are being recognized for their talent and responsibility by the Goderich-Huron YMCA.
The Celebration of Youth Awards recognizes local youth who demonstrate sensitivity to others, talent, innovation, academic responsibility, development of personal talents, and give back to their community.
Four students from Goderich District Collegiate institute have been recognized this year, along with three from St. Anne's Catholic Secondary School, and one from Central Huron Secondary School.
This year's award recipients are:
Excellence in Leadership Award – Ashlee Heipel-Bolger (St. Anne’s)
Excellence in Leadership Award - Lauren Ritchie (GDCI)
Excellence in Leadership Award – Kayla Gauthier (CHSS)
Perseverance Award – Mikayla Skyring (GDCI)
Personal Achievement Award – Mackenzie Kelly-Ingram (St. Anne’s)
Philanthropy Award – Riley MacLennan (GDCI)
Technology & Trades Award – Liam Morley (St. Anne’s)
YMCA Youth Leadership Award – Mara Cutting (GDCI)
Each recipient will be presented with a $1,000 award.
