A Mount Forest woman has been charged with trafficking fentanyl and other criminal offences after being arrested in Owen Sound.
City Police say the 35-year-old female was brought into custody yesterday in the parking lot of a downtown business.
Owen Sound Police say highly toxic blue and purple fentanyl was seized from the woman, as well as digital scales and cash.
Police say an arrest warrant was also in effect for the woman, who was on probation and bound by conditions of multiple release orders from custody.
The accused faces numerous charges including possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
Police say she was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
