A South Bruce Peninsula woman has pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing death in the crash that claimed the life of Al Joyce of Georgian Bluffs in 2017.
Sarah Elizabeth Standen entered the plea and was convicted in Owen Sound Superior Court on Tuesday.
Standen, 33, was driving a pick-up truck and failed to stop at a stop sign at Zion Church Road and Grey Road 17 on Nov. 18, 2017, colliding with a sport utility vehicle.
Joyce, 53, was a passenger in the SUV and died at the scene.
Standen also pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing bodily harm to a passenger in the truck injured in the accident.
She will return to court June 26 for a sentencing hearing.
