Infant Injured After Horse-Drawn Buggy Crash In Howick Twp.

OPP say eight month old boy treated for non life-threatening injuries, following weekend crash.

Huron OPP are reminding drivers to use caution around horse-drawn buggies, following a collision in Howick Township.

Police were called to Gorrie Line and Howick-Turnberry Road Sunday afternoon, after reports a pickup truck collided with a horse-drawn buggy.

Officers say the pickup driver stopped at the intersection, but failed to yield to the westbound buggy.

According to reports, there were six occupants in the buggy, including an eight month old boy, who was ejected onto the roadway.

Police say the boy was taken to hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.

OPP say the other occupants suffered minor injuries.
