West Grey says their new budget has an eye on the future
Passed in early April the budget brings a 3.73% increase, that's a $4.35 per $100,000 assessment.
Other big highlights consisted of investments in arts and culture throughout the municipality, reconstruction along concession 4 and over $700,000 to bridge repair.
These are part of the $4.9 Million for capital projects throughout the municipality.
Mayor Christine Robinson was pleased by the in-depth dialogue and review. "I believe this budget meets the goals of investing in West Grey while being mindful of the corresponding pressures on our ratepayers." Robinson said.
The overall theme of the budget was centered around infrastructure investment and community building plans to continue looking ahead by developing a multi-year budget.
