South Bruce OPP Arrest Drunk Driver

The female driver's license was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded

South Bruce OPP say a 43 year old South Bruce woman has been arrested for driving under the influence.

Just after 12:00 a.m., this morning (April 16, 2019) police were patrolling Highway 9 when they observed a motor vehicle travelling eastbound and conducted a traffic stop.

When officers initiated a traffic stop they say the driver showed signs of impairment and determined the driver had consumed alcohol. She was subsquently arrested and transported to detachment for further tests, and charged with:

- Operation while impaired by alcohol 
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus 

The driver is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice - Walkerton, on May 15, 2019 to answer to the charges. Her driver's licence was suspended for an automatic 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
