OPP Charge Impaired ATV Driver On Peninsula

A RIDE check Thursday night resulted in charges against an ATV driver.

Bruce Peninsula OPP have charged a 44 year old man with impaired driving,

Police say just before 10 Thursday night, they were conducting a R.I.D.E. check on Bruce Road 8, east of Sauble Beach in South Bruce Peninsula.

They say an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) was stopped and the driver was arrested for impaired driving.

OPP say breath tests were conducted at the Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment.

Charges against the 44-year old South Bruce Peninsula man include driving while prohibited, driving while impaired, driving with a blood alcohol content of (over 80), failure to wear a proper helmet, and failure to surrender an insurance card.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound in May.
