Our local hospital is the first in Canada to offer a new way for newborns to be closer to their moms.
The first Halo Bassinest swivel sleepers have arrived at Collingwood General and Marine hospital.
The sleepers have a rotational arm and 360 degree swivel to allow mothers who have had a c-section to position the baby in the right place for effortless access.
Mothers have safe and easy access to their baby at all times compared to a traditional stationary or attached bassinet.
Funds for obstetrical equipment was raised through the hospital foundation's Wasaga Gives campaign.
