A man has been charged with four offences, several days after an incident in which a suspect allegedly tried to flee from police in South Huron.
The arrest was made in Huron Park Wednesday, almost a week after police called off a chase in the interest of public safety.
OPP say they stopped a vehicle on Huron Street West in Exeter on March 29th, while investigating a break-and-enter complaint.
As the driver was being told he was under arrest, OPP say the vehicle left at high speed and almost struck an officer.
The pursuit was called off shortly after that.
On Thursday, the 25 year-old suspect was arrested without incident in Huron Park on charges of break and enter with intent, escape lawful custody, flight from police and dangerous driving.
