The Hanover Chamber of Commerce held its AGM and Award Gala Wednesday evening.
Some very important individuals received some much deserved recognition.
It was a night of celebration and achievement, as the Hanover Chamber of Commerce recognized some very active and supportive members of the community.
Citizen of the Year went Adam Ward who is well known in the community for all his work with the Chamber, the Kinsmen, the Doctor Recruitment Committee and the new Hospice South.
For Ward, becoming involved in so many causes come natural as he enjoys giving back to a community that has been so good to him.
Lifetime Achievement Winner Doris Mae Fisher has been giving back to the community for almost forty years and says was quite surprised by the honour.
She says volunteering and helping out is just the way she was raised, and she encourages others who are able to, to try it out.
Business Citizen of the Year was a shared venture for McDonald’s Restaurant Owners Chuck and Sandi Soullierre.
Chuck Soullierre says calls it an incredible honour, as both he and his wife pour their heart and soul into the business and love the community.
Soullierre is quick to acknowledge however it is his employees that make it all possible.
As for Youth Citizen of the Year, the honour and title went to Tim Koen.
During the evening the Chamber President Erin Aldridge announced plans to introduce even more awards at next years Awards Gala in an effort to recognize even more outstanding individuals.
