Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged a Brampton man following the seizure of 26 guns.
The investigation began in January in what police call one of the single biggest firearms seizures is Peel Region history
Police took the 35-year old suspect into custody on March 21st, after searching two addresses in Brampton and a couple in Toronto that were connected to the suspect.
During a news conference on Tuesday, police said 26 firearms, the majority of them loaded, were found during the execution of those search warrants.
They say they also found 1,500 rounds of ammunition.
Along with the guns, drugs worth around $1.2 million were also seized, including cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl.
