The town of Wasaga Beach will be looking for developers interested in the downtown and beachfront areas.
The town says, in a news release issued today (Tuesday), that it will embark on a new Request for Expressions of Interest process to look for developers.
Those chosen through that process will be asked to submit proposals to develop the beachfront that meet provincial policies, the town's vision expressed in the Downtown Master Plan and the town's official plan and design guidelines.
The town says FRAM building group and any other developer is welcome to apply.
FRAM has said it no longer wants to work with the town and has requested the town reimburse almost 110 thousand dollars relating to its due diligence for a Letter of Intent which council has let lapse to review the needs of the area.
The town says it will be responding to FRAM’s request for reimbursement after reviewing the
claim and its obligations under the LOI.
