The Owen Sound hockey community is mourning the loss of a longtime local contributor.

Jeff Chapman, a volunteer with Rogers TV for 21 years, passed away in his sleep overnight Saturday at the age of 33.

Chapman was a mainstay at the Bayshore Community Centre as a cameraman for Rogers TV at Owen Sound Attack games for years.

"The Rogers TV family in Owen Sound is deeply saddened and will miss Jeff Chapman dearly," says Rogers TV Grey County Supervising Producer Mark Perry. "He was our most hard-working and dedicated volunteer for the past 21 years."

The Attack will hold a moment of silence for Chapman at tonight's playoff game against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

Funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days.
